Synopsis
Media mogul Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first major television role. There are many well-executed elements to this series. But I just felt it was off. There were so many things about the writing, directing, and acting that felt uncomfortable. Some of the dialogue felt so incomplete and clunky that I kept shaking my head. As a result, the relationships in the story felt incomplete and lacked depth. I feel like I was supposed to have warm feelings for many of the characters, but I didn’t understand the techniques to move the audience, but that’s different. If it was intentional, it failed. If this is a new style of filmmaking, I hope it passes.
